Kirsten & Liam got married on June 10th just outside of Sussex at the beautiful Brabant Barn. When Kirsten first got in touch with me she said she envisioned a fun, whimsical, wildflower wedding and the day was exactly that!
Kirsten and Liam are high school sweethearts who first met in middle school. They ended up in the same friend group in high school growing close and eventually fell in love. Liam knew Kirsten was the one after he spent two miserable summers working away, when he returned home to her and felt at ease and Kirsten could not imagine being without Liam, he has always been a consistent love and support.
The two decided to do a first touch where they held hands but didn’t see each other before the ceremony. I love this idea. It kind of gives you the best of both worlds. That connection eases the nerves but you still get to see your love for the first time while walking down the aisle.
During their ceremony Kirsten and Liam incorporated a ring warming where their wedding parties and families blessed their rings before they exchanged them. This was so special and I loved the personal element it added to their ceremony.
Their wedding day threatened rain (as it seems most have this summer) but there were only a few drops and we even got a beautiful golden hour to top off what was already a spectacular day!
Kirsten & Liam, I loved being part of your wedding day and I wish you a lifetime of love and joy!
