This past Saturday I has the pleasure of documenting Katrina and Jeremy’s wedding day! I have been looking forward to working with them since our first emails. Katrina and Jeremy first met at church in 2011 and would hang out when Jeremy was home from school. Once summer Katrina’s mom suddenly invited Jeremy to go with them on the family camping trip. The following week the two began dating and got engaged last summer during the annual family trip.

I love the way that Katrina and Jeremy incorporated personal elements into their day. We made a stop at the Urban Almanac, Jeremy’s favourite coffee spot. The ceremony had a veil and cord ceremony – a Filipino tradition – as a nod to Katrina’s heritage. The reception was a blast. Katrina and her bridesmaids performed a choreographed dance mash up to some of their favourite songs from the ’90s and the guys not necessarily feeling that the could quite dance as well as the ladies decided to play to their strengths brought their instruments and performed their mash-up of songs live. It was so fun!

Katrina and Jeremy, thank you for having me capture your day, it was truly a joy!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kitchen!
